Marvin M. Lee, a distinguished addition to the firm, brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned trial lawyer and tough negotiator to his clients at Park Chenaur. He has personally tried over 50 jury trials and 15 bench trials to verdict. Most recently, he worked for 19 years as staff counsel at Farmers Insurance, one of the largest insurance companies in the country. Marvin handled the highest exposure cases in the state of Washington for Farmers and he won the vast majority of the 25 trials he took to jury verdict there.
Marvin is a proud graduate of Yale University, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Sociology and played on the Yale University Men’s Volleyball Team. He further distinguished himself by earning his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, a top 5 national law school.
Marvin’s professional journey has been marked by significant achievements, including receiving the “Trial Gladiator Award” for outstanding trial results in 2013 and serving as a faculty member at the Farmers Trial College in 2020. The wider legal community recognized his skill and achievements in trial practice when a Superior Court Judge asked him to present at ABOTA’s 2023 Masters at Trial, where he gave the presentation on cross-examination during the day-long trial advocacy seminar. His role as a Pro Tem Judge adds a rich layer to his diverse legal background, demonstrating his wide-ranging understanding of the legal system.
Marvin has earned recognition for his successes against some of the top Plaintiff lawyers in the state, cementing his reputation as a formidable litigator. Despite these achievements, he remains grounded and humble, and is known for his down-to-earth personality.
Outside of the courtroom, Marvin enjoys spending time skiing and camping with his family and gets his competitive fix in with sports like pickleball and golf. His well-rounded personality and his unflagging commitment to zealously advocate for his clients make him an invaluable asset to our team at Park Chenaur.
