Mitchel Pinedo

Personal Injury Case Manager

Mitchel has been a case manager with us since 2010. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in the United States, he is fluent in Spanish and English. His cultural background inspires his work; he says, “Some people are not really heard.” Mitchel listens, and he strives to perfect his own communication with clients. He goes to bat for his clients as he negotiates with insurance adjusters. He went through his own motor vehicle accident in 2013, and this first-hand experience renewed his commitment to his work. Mitchel breaks down the language barrier every day, and he is invaluable to our team.

Mitchel now lives in Puyallup, having grown up in the Tacoma area. The youngest of five children in a large, close-knit family, he works alongside his sister Paty in the office. He is active in his community and church, and he volunteers each year at a camp for children and families affected by cancer. He enjoys running and practicing soccer in his spare time.

Paty Pinedo

Case Manager

Paty joined us as a paralegal in 2016 after more than sixteen years in Spanish-language radio. She moved to the United States from Guadalajara, Mexico, at fourteen. She says, “I enjoy the results I see for my clients,” a passionate advocate for the Spanish-speaking community. Where insurance companies may try to take advantage of individuals based on their background or language, Paty steps in. She communicates directly with insurance adjusters to track bills and payments, facilitate settlements, and organize clients’ records. She is dedicated to helping individuals navigate their claims and move on with their lives; she educates people about their rights every day. Paty takes great pride in her work.

Paty loves sports — following soccer, football, basketball, and more — though for herself she most enjoys snowboarding and riding horses. She also reads other legal cases in her free time, especially moved by those working hard in the field of immigration law. She lives in Tacoma.

J. Taylor Kindred

Paralegal

Taylor joined us in 2018 as a paralegal to litigation attorney Mick Pusztai. He brings eighteen years’ experience to our firm, having earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Highline College in 1999. He first worked in Seattle as a claims administrator for plaintiffs’ counsel in the representation of commercial fishermen and Alaska Natives impacted by the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill of 1989. After many years in Yakima as an investigator and paralegal, Taylor went on to found his own business as a licensed private investigator and process server. His experience with both sides of personal injury litigation — as well as diligence and kindness in all his work — make Taylor a tremendous resource for our clients, attorneys, and staff.

In his spare time, Taylor plays the guitar and writes music. He studies Shudokan Karate and has obtained his first-degree black belt. He takes pride in working hard for those who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents and claims of medical malpractice.

Natalie Shermer

Legal Assistant

Natalie is a valued member of the firm, working closely with Liandra as a legal assistant. She has been working in the legal field since 2019 after graduating from Purdue University Global. Natalie began her career as a litigation assistant at a local defense firm. Lucky for us, she knew pretty quickly that it was not the right fit. For her,

being on the Plaintiff’s side feels more rewarding as it gives positivity back to the community by assisting the injured instead of working against them. She loves interacting closely with each client and seeing up close how she can add value.

Natalie is hardworking, reliable and always ready to lend a hand when needed. When time allows, she enjoys volunteering at local shelters. Her education includes experience and training in the culinary arts, where she’s even had the opportunity to work with renowned chefs in the Seattle area. Natalie loves spending her free time with friends and family.
